So , it was cold comfort knowing that should things go wrong in the wild places , you had these two operators covering your bases .
Day 1 saw the group ride into some pretty spectacular country . Giant mountain ranges that rose out of the ground like dragons ’ teeth . I had zero to no riding experience in mountains , so I was happy to poke around the back of the group with another rider Dave .
Dave had arrived on a small Honda 250 farm bike , a pair of denim jeans and a road bike helmet . He was pretty new to riding and had decided that now that his kids were all grown up , he was going to give it a go . Aside from putting around the farm , he hadn ’ t had much experience .
