Such was the dramatic form of racing , challenging both rider and motorcycle , that it quickly grew to become the most recognised form of off-road racing for motorcycle , yes , even more so than rallying . Popularity grew so quickly that the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme ( FIM ) was forced into recognising this form of racing and so began the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship .
But what is Hard Enduro ? With the hardest of Hard Enduro ’ s having just been completed , Red Bull Romaniacs there ’ s perhaps no better time to delve into this motorcycle sport that has even the most sedate on the edge of their seats .
The name itself lends most clues , well actually , it spells it out . Enduro by its very nature is a long distance ‘ endurance ’ race , often held over a few days and with challenges of varying difficulty . And Hard ? Do we really need to explain that ?
