Elasticated straps are not a new concept , in fact one has been around for almost 25 years . Another Australian product , that by Andy Strapz .
At AU $ 41.00 a pair , we went with the Flat Strapz 1500 , they are not the cheapest , but in some ways , we did find them to be the best for the application intended .
The 1500mm long and 50mm wide straps by Andy Strapz are the largest we tested and yet this didn ’ t hinder in any way . The elasticated straps offer a level of luggage strapping that the others couldn ’ t , the very nature of the width , and yet when we pulled on them the resistance wasn ’ t too much to be a problem . In protecting your luggage , the width is certainly an asset , it didn ’ t cut in or split the materials we were using on our bags .
Like the Wraptie™ straps , Andy Strapz offer attachment via hook and loop strips , yet unlike those by Wraptie™ Andy Strapz straps only have the hook and loop strips at the ends , this leads the straps to be too long at times , easily fixed by wrapping an additional time . Andy Strapz hook and loop is of the highest quality and works extremely well .
Andy Strapz are the simplest and easiest to use however , they are limited by their width and simplicity . If your bike doesn ’ t have dedicated racks or provisions to pull a strap through the Andy Strapz might not be
