and emotions ! Beginning with the majestic Monument Valley , Archers , Canyon Lands , Goblin SP , Bryce Canyon , Zion , Antelope Canyon , to the breathtakingly vast Grand Canyon .
We only felt sorry for one thing - that we couldn ' t stay there longer ! Undoubtedly , you could spend at least a week without getting bored in each of them ! Unfortunately , we did not have that much time , but thanks to the perfectly prepared road infrastructure , it was possible to get almost everywhere freely .
After these emotions , a bit tired of changing a place of accommodation ( our tent ) everyday , we went to take a rest in Las Vegas .
This visit had little to do with resting , except that we slept in a normal bed in an air-conditioned room ... You have to be aware that Vegas never sleeps , and when sleep does come it ' s usually at dawn . Despite being tired , we went to bed around 3am . Unfortunately , it ended with a late wakeup call and a result , we entered Dead Valley around noon . In July , during the hottest hours of the day , the temperature at the lowest point of depression can exceed 50 degrees Celsius and this is what we faced . We were probably the only bikers travelling this route . Despite the fact that when entering the desert , we were equipped with bottles of frozen mineral water , and during the stop halfway through the route , people were being chilled with ice-cold towel compresses , the ride on this road was a fight for life . We advise against such ideas ...
Reaching our friends in Long Beach on the US West Coast , the odometer showed 8,000 km , so it was time to change the oil . Besides maintenance , no technical problems with the motorcycle ! We spent nine days in California - the longest on the whole trip , but it should not be surprising - the state is full of various attractions , everyone can find something for themselves there .
I do not think it ' s an exaggeration to say that California is a showcase of the USA . Our number 1 is the 101 West Coast Highway - a beautiful , picturesque trail stretching along the very shores of the Pacific , from Canada to the Mexican border .
Be aware that California also has its downsides - unfortunately , it is the most expensive of all states considering everything , including fuel and accommodation .
This is related to one of the stories , a funny one actually but at the beginning of which , we were far from laughing . Right outside San Francisco , at the very end of the day , we somehow managed to find a place for a camping ; a public area , outside the city , away from the main route , marked on maps . me as a camping place - perfect for us !
