Dubai Riders introduced us to the local atmosphere and culture as well as their way of travelling . Our travels were announced to other riders of the surrounding countries , meaning our calendar was fully booked with meeting riders from Dubai , Saudi Arabia , Bahrain , Oman , and Kuwait .
Social media meant we couldn ’ t ride around Saudi Arabia without being noticed , when borders opened to tourists riders from many moto clubs knew of our arrival , some waiting for up to three hours for us to appear at the border . We were treated to lunch , shown the local areas and then ‘ escorted ’ another 300 kilometres in a motorcycle convoy towards Kuwait . Commitment was such that as the sun went down and the cold winds blew up the riders were still there , unprepared in bare legs or jacketless . Full commitment to
