Instead of " Good Evening ", we heard ; “ Any guns or drugs ?”
Normally I would say , “ No , thanks !”
It wasn ' t time for joking ! We had to explain who we were and what we were doing . After a long exchange of words and reassuring them that we were going to be on our way at dawn , we were allowed to stay overnight with tacit agreement .
We crossed the U . S . and Canadian border between Port Angeles in the USA and Victoria in Vancouver Island , Canada . I promised a friend of mine from school , who ended up living in that area , that I would stop by on a motorcycle one day !
Although we were only five days in Canada , we managed to visit Vancouver , reach the national parks of Jasper and Banff , and visit Calgary , but most importantly , we fell in love with this beautiful country and we would like to return there someday .
Canada impresses with its natural beauty , perhaps less exotic from a European point of view in relation to the desert regions of the USA , but no less fascinating !
Leaving Canada , our travel schedule lost much of its flexibility , and there was no time to waist , no slippage allowed , if everything was supposed to be as planned . The key point of our journey - the rally in Sturgis , wouldn ’ t wait !
So , via Going to the Sun - a representative of Montana ' s scenic routes towards Yellow Stone ! If someone would be tempted to say that " Yogi Bear ' s land " is the most " trampled " tourist place in the USA - probably one should agree with it , but it is certainly not overrated in any way . Despite the crowd of tourists and ever-present commerce , there is no need to alienate , it ’ s an amazing experience guaranteed !
