lowered pegs , raised handlebars , Doubletake Mirrors , nothing more of note … oh , it does have additional crash bars on the front … there ’ s a fair chance I ’ ll need those , and yes , they have been used . It does have an addition that seems to be more important than anything else , a good luck charm in the form of a Lego Stormtrooper . And so far , it ’ s worked , adding to the theory that the white clad soldiers of the Star Wars empire couldn ’ t hit anything even if they tried .
A TomTom navigational device has been fitted , but very rarely gets used , paper is far better , and becoming lost even more so .
I care not about aesthetics , this bike is utilitarian , it was designed with a purpose in mind and that is what it gets used for .
“ I bet that never gets used on dirt ,” once grinned a large middle aged , gleaming Harley Davidson rider , to his mate .
I couldn ’ t help myself , “ I bet it ’ s done more kilometres on dirt than what your bike will ever do in total riding and across its entire life .”
Silence followed as I walked away , yet what did it really matter ? This is one of my ‘ adventure bikes ’ and wherever it takes me is an adventure . It has relatively low kilometres for a 4-year-old bike , that has crossed the Australian continent more than a few times in all
