A Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro has taken victory in the twin cyclinder category of the Transanatolia Rally and ninth place overall .
The Transanatolia Rally is regarded as one of the world ' s leading rally events , held in Turkey it is certainly one of the toughest with its 2,850 kilometres of rocky , sandy terrain that includes both technical and fast sections .
Ducati test rider , Andrea Rossi , rode the bike equiped with Ducati performance parts that can be purchased and fitted to any similar bike . All aspects of the Mulistrada were standard Ducati products including the hightened seat and adjusted suspension . Everything else was fitted to meet race organiser requirements .
" Since 2016 I started working with Ducati on the development of the Multistrada Enduro project ," explained Rossi . " I know very well its potential , its robustness and its countless qualities , which is why it was decided to participate in a demanding rally like the Transanatolia with a practically standard bike ."
The 1260 Multistrada was certainly tested to its limits and yet , accordng to Rossi , it performed extremely well .
" The Multistrada 1260 Enduro overcame all adversities in an excellent way . For me it was a great joy to take it to victory in the Twin-cylinder category and in the top 10 of the overall classification ”, he continued .
