Landspeed racing forever lost a giant of this unique family when Ralph Hudson was taken from us .
Ralph succumbed to injuries suffered during an accident whilst attempting another world record on August 14 at the Bonneville Speed Trials .
Ralph , the Gentle Giant of motorcycle sport touched so many people , his friendly demeanour and willingness to help everyone was legendary . We at Traverse , never met Ralph personally , we only spoke by email and phone , yet we laughed heartily , especially when he told us he hadn ' t really achieved much . This was on a landpseed attempt in Bolivia .
Ralph ' s records will stand for a while , perhaps broken soon , yet his friendliness , good humour and humble charm will last forever .

" How ' s the hand ?", he ' d genuinely ask , always knowing there ' d be a quip about the silly accident .
That was Big Dave Marsicano , full of life , full of laughs .
Through Mount Buller Motorcycle Adventures we were able to share some of Dave ' s love of motorcycling , his love of the mountains , his love of life . An experience many of us are richer for .
Taken from us much too soon we ' ll miss the opportunity to ride more with Dave and share the laughter and experience his version of life .
We wish we could ' ve ridden more with you Dave ...
