Lost Track New Zealand Need Essentials 2020 61 Minutes
Lost Track New Zealand is a unique little film that takes in both motorcycling and surfing , it ’ s a great look at remote NZ following the coast for the perfect break .
Torren Martin and Ishka Folkwell have constructed a beautiful film over a three-month period that takes us for a ride on a couple of Royal Enfield Himalayans , complete with surfboard racks and a couple of boards . The weather we ’ re treated to isn ’ t always the greatest , perhaps this is the real New Zealand , the scenery is stunning , wild , and untouched , the beaches remote and perfect for a surf .
The pair take on a few tough tracks looking for the perfect wave , and while not always successful the journey makes for a rich experience and the pair realise that life is much more than obsessing over what you seek . They come away wiser and more enlivened from the experience . So do we , the viewer .
Lost Track New Zealand is a short movie at just over one hour and whether a board or bike rider you ’ ll enjoy the experience and perhaps even want to ride New Zealand and its lost tracks .
Journey To The West Overlander TV 2017 87 Minutes
Selected to be screened at the 2017 Motorcycle Film Festival New York , Journey To The West is said to be by a world traveller , exploring an exercise in simplicity , camping , and getting off the beaten track . It promises a lot and unfortunately doesn ’ t quite get there .
Mark Shea , writer , director , producer , star , rides his bike across the Australian continent to explore the west coast , he takes a wellworn path and while interspersed with interesting vignettes , Journey To The West needs a little more . This doesn ’ t mean it should not be watched .
Journey To The West needs the viewer to forget the title , the prologue , the promise and watch it for what it is ; a travel documentary that while shot on a budget is a story well told and at times beautifully presented .
Once Shea hits the ‘ real outback ’ this film begins to shine , the stories , the history , the quirkiness are all displayed through the story telling and it finally starts to move forward . This is the real Journey To The West .
Journey To The West is worth a watch , a winter Saturday afternoon or Sunday evening .
