It was a ‘joy’ that Michael relished, discovering perhaps
more about himself than that of his surrounds.
A further 12 months was spent riding south-east Asia,
discovering regions that many mainstream and more adventurous
travellers cannot or will not explore. Michael’s
tales of Bhutan, Laos and Taiwan leave you wanting for
more, words don’t do it justice, it’s the smile and sparkle
in this traveller’s eyes that portray the real adventure. It’s
clear there’s a love affair.
“I finally made it,” Michael laughs when asked about
Australia. “I reached Australia.”
He’s a little matter of fact when explaining that it was
his first ‘western’ country in almost two years of travel,
potentially the last country in his travels.
