Michael was born in Bavaria in 1987, BMW’s are in his blood. His first ‘international’ overland adventure was in a BMW 5 series around southern Africa. A seed was sown; BMW’s and travel … it seemed perfect. Two and a half years ago Michael decided it was time to make a move, and with a fair idea he started riding toward India aboard the 20-year-old R100. “I decided to embark on a world trip with my motorcycle,” he grins. “Leaving Germany in October 2017, I first wanted to reach India,” Michael explains that the sub-continent has always fascinated him; an engineer by trade, perhaps a hippy at heart. He was following that well-travelled path on a ‘hippy’ pilgrimage.
