TRAVERSE ... Into Thin Air
Into Thin Air is a 14 day adventure that will immerse
you into vast abundance of spectacular, ancient and
diverse landscapes and cultures that is the Indian Hima-
layas.
From Shimla to Srinagar, we journey amongst some
of the most beautiful nature and wonderfully endear-
ing people, and should prove to be a ride beyond your
wildest dreams!
This adventure begins with a train ride to Shimla
and then onto riding a Royal Enfield through the lush
green pastures, and endless tarmac twisties of Him-
achel Pradesh. Before you know it, you'll wind your way
through some jaw dropping gorges tackling an array
of terrain and up to some of the worlds’ highest moun-
tain passes, lakes and glaciers, including Khardung La
(5602m) and high altitude desert regions of Zanskar and
Ladakh.
We’ll visit some of the oldest (thousands of years) and
remotest monasteries and temples that are still standing
today, where Buddhism and Hinduism is still practiced.
On this adventure we'll finally make our way for a re-
laxing stay on a house boat on the Dal Lake in Srinagar
before flying back to Delhi. Is there really any other
way to finish an adventure? Click the link for a more
detailed itinerary.
July being open season in the Himalayas will make
this adventure a little challenging but definitely more
exciting, than usual, so if you are a confident off road
rider Traverse wants to invite you to join us in 2020 on
an epic adventure through some mind blowing scenery
and terrain.
With a full support crew and back up vans to car-
ry your luggage, all you need to do is just concentrate
on riding and have your mind blown. This adventure
includes your bike hire, fuel, all meals, transfers and
accommodation for the full 14 days. You just need to get
to Delhi, and we’ll do the rest.
We have limited spaces for this adventure, so don’t
procrastinate. If you want to cross this epic landscape
and tick a memorable journey off your bucket list, con-
tact Leigh at TRAVERSE (traverse@traverse-magazine.
