says "We have been faced with many external pricing
pressures; the Team at KTM Australia has been working
hard to minimize the impact to the Rider. In review of
currency comparisons we are priced in line with our

tional value." his damaged wrist in preparation to defend his Dakar
title.
"Racing only the truck is the safer option to know that
I'll be ready for Dakar 2020," explained the former Finke
truck runner-up.
"Bummed I'm missing out on the bike but I've got to
look to the future and be smart about my injury at the
moment. Maybe in 2020 we will do the bike again and see
if I can get 7! The double is not out of sight, it's something
I know I want to do and I want to achieve in future."
The Finke Desert Race takes part in central Australia
between June 7-10.
TENERE A STEP CLOSER
Yamaha has taken a step closer in bringing the much
drawn out launch of the new T7 Tenere.
The bike will go on sale as of March 27 through an
online pre-ordering system and is said to be in the range
of around AU$14,900 for the standard model. The price
will remain fixed until the online sale ends on July 31. It's
not known how the price will differ although it seems the
retail will increase by around AU$1000. BIG TWIN
Honda has followed suit and will enlarge its Africa
Twin to 1080cc for 2020 to keep power at a maximum
while complying with the new Euro 5 emissions rules.
The extra 82cc will see an increase of 4kW. Doesn't
sound like much, it will however keep power at a max-
imum while the emissions rules are doing their best to
keep power down.
The 2020 AT will also see minor upgrades to its looks.

Six time Finke Desert Race winner, and reigning cham-
pion of the Dakar, Toby Price has confirmed that he will
not take part in this years Finke ... albeit, on two wheels.
