KTM RANGE READY FOR DOWN UNDER K TM has released details of the Australian availa- bility and pricing of their new adventure / dual purpose range. The full range, including the much anticipated KTM 790 Adventrure R will all be in showrooms mid-year. Developed inline with the Dakar dom- inating Factory Racing bikes, the 790 R comes with a multitude of rider aids and yet only weighs 189kg. TENERE A STEP CLOSER Yamaha has taken a step closer in bringing the much drawn out launch of the new T7 Tenere. The bike will go on sale as of March 27 through an online pre-ordering system and is said to be in the range of around AU$14,900 for the standard model. The price will remain fixed until the online sale ends on July 31. It's not known how the price will differ although it seems the retail will increase by around AU$1000. BIG TWIN Honda has followed suit and will enlarge its Africa Twin to 1080cc for 2020 to keep power at a maximum while complying with the new Euro 5 emissions rules. The extra 82cc will see an increase of 4kW. Doesn't sound like much, it will however keep power at a max- imum while the emissions rules are doing their best to keep power down. The 2020 AT will also see minor upgrades to its looks. PRICE OUT OF FINKE Six time Finke Desert Race winner, and reigning cham- pion of the Dakar, Toby Price has confirmed that he will not take part in this years Finke ... albeit, on two wheels. Instead, Price will concentrate on the truck class and rest DAKAR TO MOVE Rumours have been confirmed that the Dakar Rally will move from South America. Financial pressures will see the iconic event move to Saudi Arabia from 2020 and remain there for at least 5 years. TRAVERSE 8
