5. Fuel planning is important too! My Arctic Cat ZR6000 2-stroke machine gets an average of 185-210 kilometres to a tank, with a best of 275 kilometres at very gentle speeds all day long. It is important then, for me to plan out fuel stops each eve- ning before the next days ride begins. In Ontario and Quebec that is a pretty simple feat: one need only access the appropriate app on a cell phone, select fuel stations as way points on the trail map and plan from there. It is also easy to forget, and riders find themselves stranded and without fuel more often that you would think. Many riders now travel with auxiliary fuel tanks for just that reason. Snowmobiling has become a very large part of ½ of my life. The oth- er half is still filled with motorcycle adventures. Oh, and a really pretty 1969 Pontiac GTO. But that is a story for another day ... JE Joe Enberg loves an adventure and taking a snowmobile out into the Cana- dian winter seems like a perfect way to explore. Joe is more than hapy to help anyone explore the country he loves, his home, Canada. Visit advjoe.ca for more info and contact Joe if you have questions. TRAVERSE 106
