trol. I came to find out later, the hard
way, that we should have demanded a
more thorough entry, and paperwork,
into the country.
At the end of the trip when trans-
porting my motorcycle out of South
Africa, I had customs tell me that the
motorcycle had never been legally
imported into the country – another
small hurdle that was challenging but
overcome like the others that made
this trip special.
Motorcycling down the west coast
of South Africa we spent several days
along farming and wine areas until we
reached Cape Town, familiar to us as
we had been there a few years before
and it seemed like we were ‘home.’
After spending several weeks with my
good friends and son on the final part
of the African adventure to Port Eliz-
abeth, it was off to Europe and then
Amsoil, Schuberth North America, Held North
America, MotoSkiveez, Sanuk, QuadLock,
Global Star, SPOT Locator, Billabong, and The
North Face.
