Walkner, who will go into Dakar as the reigning race winner explained he was happy with second place in Mo- rocco and sees it as a great preperation to defend his Da- kar title. Consistency has been the key to Price's year, taking multiple stage wins as well as podiums at Rallye du Ma- roc, Atacama Rally and Desafio Ruta 40. “What an amazing season – I can’t believe it," grinned the 31 year old. "It’s been a tough one and I didn’t expect to be at the top of the list at the end of it. I had some bad luck back in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of the year, but after that every rally has gone well and I’ve finished on the podium at every round." In taking his first world championship Price gave credit to his Red Bull KTM team, saying he couldn't have achieved anything without them. "I’m standing on the top of the world and it’s the best feeling ever.” Dakar starts on January 6, 2019 and if recent years and current form is anything to go by it could well be a Red Bull KTM 1,2,3.
