Rallye du Maroc The Price of a World Championship T raditionally the lead in event to the Dakar, the Ral- ly of Morocco usually sets the scene for who's in form for the most famous of all Rally Raid events. The 2018 edition saw 2016 Dakar champion, Toby Price, lead from start to finish, not only win- ning the Rallye du Maroc but also the 2018 FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship. He now ce- ments as favourite to win the 2019 Dakar. Leading from the start, the Australian was able to pull away from Red Bull KTM team mate, Matthias Walkner, and win by over seven minutes. "The crew has been amazing all week and my mechanic Joe has done a top job," said a jubilent Price. "It feels good to repay the team’s hard work with a win." At one stage it looked like Red Bull KTM would take all three podium positions at the end of the rally, unfortu- nately Briton Sam Sunderland suffered issues with his bike on day two, ending any chances. "I’m really happy for Toby to win the championship," said Sunderland.
