“It's interesting when it’s just the two of you, most
of the time together you kind of have to work through
everything,” explained Dennis.
“I was happy that I had the chance to get to know
Dennis so much better through this experience,”
smiled Asatuurs warmly.
“This experience was very personal to me and I’m
glad that he was the one who was with me on the
journey, in this experience.”
The bond that’s grown between these two riders,
two men who have gotten to know each other at a
greater level, is something that they want to share,
to encourage others to take to the road, to explore
different places, to get to know yourself and loved
ones. They’ve created a documentary, Faster Than
My Mind, which they hope to generate interest, and
have it distributed so that others CAN enjoy the ex-
perience.
think we have to do it,” explained Asatuurs regard-
ing whether he thinks the documentary will encour-
age others to let go, to move away from social norms
and seek a better learning.
“Definitely! Because otherwise we'd live our life fol-
lowing somebody else’s dreams and there are some
discoveries I made just because of this trip.
“I had time to be with myself. I had time to be in
my own bubble and travel Europe and think about
myself and everything I do. Unfortunately, people
kind of tend to focus on money, tend to think about
everything else apart from themselves and some-
times we must think about ourselves, we have to let
go. Say ok, so now I’m doing this for myself because I
must understand, who am I? It’s very important, un-
fortunately we forget about it and it's sad.”
Dennis continued that he hopes that people “will
get some inspiration from what we’ve done”, adding
that it needn’t be with motorbikes.
“I’m sure other people have certain dreams.
Whether it’s doing something fairly simple or rowing
across the Atlantic or climbing a mountain, it doesn’t
really matter.
“The problem is I think, all to easily we can put
things off until the day we just never get around to
doing it.”
“You don’t want to live with regrets.”
