the locals picked up the unconscious
man and threw him in the back of a
pickup truck. His body like a rag doll.
His head flopping unsupported, blood
spilling everywhere. I was screaming.
"OMG! NO! NO! NO!, I cannot be-
lieve what I am seeing! This is fucking
crazy!"
The situation was all so surreal, it
felt like I was in a movie horror scene.
I can vaguely remember hearing the
person on the other end of the phone
yelling at me, “Hello, hello? What the
hell is happening there?”.
At this stage we had trucks, buses,
motorbikes and people blocking traf-
fic in both directions. Witnesses told
me that the local was on a push bike
and had just turned straight in front
of the motorcyclist without even look-
ing.
Police had arrived, and I knew from
that point on this was not going to be
good. Unable to speak the language,
with very basic English and hand ges-
tures I explained to the police officer,
from the eye witness accounts, what
had happened, and thankfully all the
locals agreed with what I had stated.
