ave you ever spent
months on end pre-
paring for a motorcy-
cle trip, only to have
an experience out of
your control, ruin it
for you?
This was the case for me, on my last
trip through Nepal. In March 2018, I
celebrated my birthday, with a group
of complete strangers, ready and rar-
ing to embark on another adventure
through the Nepalese Himalayas.
I had arrived a few days earlier to
prepare for the arrival of 17 riders and
once we all embarked on our tour,
things took an unexpected turn for the
worst.
Taking pictures was the last thing
on anyone’s mind at the time, but with
all the madness and chaos that I wit-
nessed and experienced, I certainly
won’t be forgetting it any time soon. I
never could have imagined what the
next 5-6 days, let alone the next 10
minutes had in store for me with two
unknown individuals and their fami-
lies.
Two days into the tour, we com-
menced our departure from Pokhara,
towards the most exciting leg of the
journey. We all stopped just outside of
town, on this rare occasion, the skies
were so clear, perfect to take pictures
of the epic Fish Tail Mountain.
After a few happy snaps, we all
