This attitude was the first step for Asatuurs who
wanted to be free of the shackles, to not have to wor-
ry about commitments or being tied down to struc-
ture and regulations.
“'That's what people dream of isn’t it? We are always
tied to something and this was the moment when it’s
like ok so now we are just going.”
They had no idea what they would find, what they
would discover about each other, what they would
discover about themselves.
“We always joked that we arrived in the dark, we
never see the place until the next morning,” Dennis
laughed as he remembered fondly.
“It wasn’t strictly true, but it quite often happened,
you know we would ride a long time, we would go
a bit further than we planned. It was always a great
experience wherever we were, to just discover the
place the next day!”
Dennis was talking about not having a plan and just
moving forward. Leaving it to chance had worked
for them and by doing so they were learning so much
more.
While on the road Asatuurs and Dennis were learn-
ing about where they were, not on a global scale but
