The interior of the helmet isn't high end, it doesn't feel
as plush as many other brands but we did find a significant
difference when it came to wearing for long periods. The
interior doesn't soak up excessive sweat leaving us to
wonder where it all went. The interior is also very easy to
remove and clean, a good selling point to those that wear
their helmets offroad.
Bell's experience with moto helmets shines through in
the design of the MX-9 Adventure. Remove the shield and
it's easy to wear a pair of goggles, they fit snuggly in the
opening which is wide and offers a great field of vision.
In most cases you'll find you can wear goggles by simply
putting the shield up. It's a great feature!
The interior of the helmet doesn't have channels or slots
for spectacles or sunglasses, this could be a problem for
some however, we found that there was no problem and
the riders amongst us who wear glasses had no problems
fitting them.
One downside of the Bell MX-9 Adventure is that the
internals doesn't have recesses to allow for communication
device speakers, it doesn't matter, with a piece of
doublesided tape they fit easily and don't cause pressure
points around the ears, or anywhere as a matter of fact.
The wind noise around the helmet makes listening to
a device almost impossible at highway speed, but most
helmets don't work well under these situations. It's a
minor inconvenience.
The Bell MX-9 Adventure comes in three shell and EPS
sizes meaning it will fit almost every sized head. And
comes in a wide range of colours and combinations.
The helmet is both DOT and ECE certified and comes
with a full five year manufacturers warranty, essentially
you're covered for the life of the helmet.
