lo, giraffe, and warthogs, along with
a huge variety of other species. Wit-
nessing a coalition of lion brothers
stalking a herd of buffalo topped
it off. Life and Death on the Af-
rican plains right in front of us!
Spending nights in luxury sa-
fari tents listening to the roar
of lions in the stunning dark of
the plains is something that will
stay with us forever.
The next leg saw us ride
across the spectacular plains,
valleys and hills of northern Tan-
zania. We made our way to the
coast and our ferry across to the
Spice Islands of Zanzibar.
We'd stepped back in time. Cob-
bled streets, old forts, and fishing
Dhows on the clear blue wa-
ters. This was Stone Town,
a cultural fusion of African
and old Arabia. We headed
north for a few days, with some
great seafood and plentiful
drinks, white sandy beaches
and captivating sunsets,
