“Putting my helmet on, shutting out the noise of the
world, is freedom.” That’s how Megan Governi describes
riding, describes travelling, describes her 2014 BMW
F800GS.
Megan has been riding for about six years and cannot
think of anything better than getting aboard her GS and
exploring Australia. For her it’s more than just riding,
it’s perhaps a way of life, a means to discover her envi-
ronment and herself; a way of challenging herself and
discovering that many things based around riding can be
transferred to everyday life.
“Riding through my first river crossing,” quickly
answers Megan when asked about her most memorable
moment aboard the bike. Although she’s quick to point
out that she’d ridden small creeks in her home state of
Victoria (Australia) a much larger one in the Kimberley
region of north-west Australia was a much greater chal-
lenge.
