the warm, turquoise sea before the wedding on the white-sanded beach; the beautiful bride elegantly perched on the back of an old American car. Plenty of rum was consumed, a whole bottle put on everyone’s ta- ble. Pork, black beans and rice and a chocolate fountain fuelled everyone with energy for enthusiastic salsa dancing which was ongoing through- out the reception. It didn’t seem fair that I just rocked up in Cuba for a stranger’s wedding just in time for a free Rolling Stones TRAVERSE 59 concert as well.
