Yesterday morning, I received a Facebook message from Mon - the owner of J No 14, where I stayed when visiting Bangkok. Mon reminded me to come back to celebrate Christmas and enjoy this festive season with him and his family. As usual, J No 14 will not open to welcome new guests between December 24th and New Year’s Eve. During that week, J No 14 will be a place for old friends who have stayed there to reunite. Whenever sharing about this special occasion, Mon always gets excited and his eyes are sparkling with joy. Once when listening to him, I just joked that he looked like a little boy with two Christmas balls dangling from his ears. Clusters of coniferous and poinsettia have been tied up on the main door with hundreds of led string lights. Pots of fern hovering overhead have been adorned with charming red and white ribbons. And what about lovely little puppies of Mon’s mother? Maybe they are wearing small red and white hats like those of Santa Claus and pretty bows are on their neck. These cute things make me miss J No 14 so much. Of course, I am going to come back Bangkok this Christmas to immerse myself in such special atmosphere with Mon, his family and his friends from around the world. And you, are you ready for your special plans on Christmas and New Year to release all stress and tiredness during the year? An exciting journey or an intimate space with memorable moments? Do not hesitate to share with us. We wish you a warm and cozy year-end holiday with tons of fun! 30 > Luxury getaway destination 108 > Sapa in snow season Th∂o Nguy‘n Managing Editor 12 TRAVELLIVE
