"THE TWINS"
"The Twins" is a novel by Tessa de Loo
about the sisters Anna and Lotte, who
were separated in the World War II.
Anna stayed in Germany and married
an officer while Lotte grew up in the
Netherlands, loved and hid fugitive Jews
from the Nazis. After 70 years, they
met each other again but the enormous
damage of war created a massive gap
between the two sisters. More than 1
million copies of the novel have been
sold. This best-selling novel has also
received numerous precious Dutch
literary awards.
