Apart from the premium facilities, guests will have a chance to
dine in locations that vary from day to day. Breakfast is served
at Nong Yao, the main restaurant while lunch may be a picnic in
the jungle. Afternoon activities often last until sundown. At that time, all
activities recess for snacks and refreshments as you watch the sky change
color. Dinner is held at the camp, whether it’s a barbecue under the stars, a
formal five-course meal, or a dinner by campfire at the elephant camp.
The library, a part of Burma Bar, is a perfect place for book lovers as they can
peruse an extensive selection of books on the Golden Triangle, Chiang Rai,
and Thailand. Titles include guidebooks as well as books on Thai art, culture,
and history. You can also relax by the fireplace in the lounge with a magazine
or some contemporary fiction.

A popular favorite for guests is to learn about Elephant Mahout Training.
Guests are taught how to take care of elephants and go on a jungle trek. You
can also take a cruise of the Mekong River on a custom-designed riverboat
to explore the markets and temples located throughout the Golden Triangle
area. Depending on the weather, other activities include jungle trekking,
riverbank picnics, bird watching, cooking classes, and a visit to the hill tribes.
