In this century of technology and high-speed connections, you can travel around the world with the click of a mouse. All the data from the cuisine to the cultural development of the land, are on your screen immediately upon typing a few characters into the search box. But how long will this stay with you? The things you have just seen, the dreamlands of your fantasies, all fade away someday. However, when you finally make a decision (even when people call it crazy) to dismiss all your hesitation to visit a new place and explore a new culture in a different climate and time, you will have begun writing your own life-story. Visit a mysterious cave and simply sit, silently to contemplate one of nature’s masterpieces. All the digital images you have seen and articles you have read about it will be nothing. And there’s no film that brings you the true feelings of swimming with colorful fishes in the Indian Ocean or witnessing a mother penguin’s tough love as she teaches her children to walk on ice. As I’m finishing this piece of writing, the sunlight has already begun to warm up the street. I’m going to discuss the next trip with my friend.
