The forest is home to 140 species of plants, 70 species of birds, 11 species of animals, 23 of fish, and 20 of reptiles. Located within a massive swamp, it’s called a “floating” forest and you can only explore it by boat. The water’s surface is covered entirely with a fluid sheet of emerald duckweed. While green duckweed covers water during September and travelers flock to this forest in October, it is more cheerful in February when culinary and spiritual activities take place. After that, you can go trekking up Sam Mountain to admire the sunset. Sam Mountain which is quite small with an elevation around 284m, is part of the Seven Mountain area. More than 200 temples and pagodas are located along the slopes and peak of the mountain.
