Punakha Dzong (Dzong means shrine), commonly known as "Pungtang Dechen Photrang Dzong", which means "the palace of ultimate happiness." Built in 1637, the shrine is the largest and the second oldest one in Bhutan. Tourists often come here to find tranquility while admiring a great magnificent architectural work of ancient Bhutanese.
