HANA TOUR
Aiming at developing international tourism market in
Vietnam, Hana Tour Vietnam,
a company of Paradise Group
(Cruises & Hotels in Halong
Bay) has signed an agreement to
cooperate with HanaTour Korea. This cooperation will settle
the first model of wholesale
travel business management for
the outbound tourism industry
in Vietnam, offering Vietnamese
visitors more opportunities
to travel abroad, with various
options and great services at
reasonable prices.
ELS GOLF CLUB TELUK DATAI
Malaysia's golf tourism industry
added another feather to its cap
when the country took home
the "Asia's Best Golf Destination
2015" award at the 2nd Annual
World Golf Awards in Portugal
on November 7th. The Els Club
Teluk Datai in Langkawi, which
received the "World's Best New
Golf Course" award last year,
was conferred "Asia's Best Golf
Course 2015". Malaysia's popularity as a golf destination has
grown over the years. There are
over 200 golf courses located
around the country, with each
offering avid golfers a unique
experience. They can play in the
cool climates of highlands; by
the crashing waves of the sea; in
busy towns and cities; or on the
quiet greens near jungles.
TURKISH AIRLINES
Turkish Airlines will open new
direct routes from Hanoi and
HCMC to Istanbul (Turkey) in
2016. Previously, flights from
Vietnam to Turkey have to
transit in Bangkok (Thailand).
Turkish Airlines has cooperated with Cappadocia (Turkey)
to promote tourism and offer
Vietnamese visitors opportunities to explore this fairyland.
As planned, non-stop flights by
Turkish Airlines will officially
launch in June 2016. There will
be five flights weekly, three from
Hanoi and two from HCMC.
The itinerary will be Istanbul
- Hanoi - HCMC - Istanbul
and Istanbul - HCMC - Hanoi Istanbul. A330 (289 seats) and
A340 (270 seats) will be used to
serve these flights.
From January 2016, visitors
who want to travel from
Hanoi/HCMC to Istanbul
and vice versa with Turkish
Airlines can book tickets on

HAI PHONG
Hai Phong's opera house is now
officially recognized as a national
monument by the Ministry of
Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Hai Phong Opera House was
constructed by French from
1904 to1912 at the place of an
old market. The building followed
Baroque architecture which was
popular in Italy, Austria, Spain
and France, then become a major
trend from the late 16th century
to the mid 18th century.
VIETNAM AIRLINES
Vietnam Airlines (VNA) has
transfered its Ha Noi-Tuy Hoa
City flight route to Jetstar Pacific
Airlines (JPA) from December16.
JPA operates four flights per
week on Monday, Wednesday,
Friday, and Sunday, using A320
aircraft with 180 seats instead of
aircraft ATR-72 with 68 seats.
The flights will depart Ha Noi
at 7:30am (15 minutes earlier)
and leave Tuy Hoa at 9:55am
(55 minutes earlier). The time
for each flight is shortened by
40 minutes to one hour and 50
minutes.
PHU QUOC
According to the recent figure
published by Skyscanner Singapore, Phu Quoc, Vietnam has
strong growth and is expected
to attract the largest number
of visitors in 2016, increasing
202%. Phu Quoc island has clean
and primitive environment. The
island is chan ging and strongly
developing, from airport, streets
to modern resort. Phu Quoc is
expected to be the most attractive destination in 2016.
WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS
InterContinental Danang Sun
Peninsula of Vietnam has been
recognized as the World's
Leading Luxury Resort by World
Travel Awards 2015. These
global accolades are the benchmark in international hospitality giving international visitors
recommendations in different
countries. The resort has surpassed other nominees such as
Avada and Cheval Blanc Randheli
of Maldives, Waldorf Astoria in
Dubai. The judges recognized this
resort the best model for luxurious resorts worldwide. This is
the second time InterContinental
Danang Sun Peninsula has won
this award.
MY SON
My Son Management Board
of Relics and Tourism has
announced that ticket price
will be raised by 50% from
January 1st 2016. The price will
increase from VND100,000 to
VND150,000 for international
visitor and from VND60,000 to
VND100,000 for domestic visitor. Many new services are put
into practice such as transporting passengers by tram from
Khe The Bridge into the relics,
Cham's folk performances at
the foot of the monument.
Helicopter service for sightseeing is also being tested. My Son
Sanctuary - a world heritage
recognized by UNESSCO - is
located at Duy Phu commune
(Duy Xuyen Dist., Quang Nam),
about 70 km from Danang city
and 30 km to the west of the
National Highway 1A.
DA NANG
Da Nang People's Committee has announce
its plan of providing a wide range of fascinating
festive and cultural activities along both banks of
the Han River in 2016. Exciting entertainment
programs and cultural activities will include a
street music program on the Bach Dang Street
riverside walk every Saturday evening, and
Dragon's head breathing fire and squirting water
at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.
A pilot steam musical performance will take
place at the western end of the Rong Bridge
every Sunday from 7:30am to 8:30am. In addition, the Tuong (classical drama) performance
will be held alternately by Nguyen Hien Dinh
Theater's artists at the two ends of the bridge
every Sunday evening. "Weekend Playground"
with various interesting activities, funny games,
hip-hop and dancing contests will be held at a
park near the Novotel Danang Premier Han
River every Sunday.
