The Cuisine of Hawaii is a fusion of many foods brought by immigrants to the Hawaiian Islands, particularly of American, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Polynesian and Portuguese origins. Overall however, three main dishes that you must try if visiting, are luau, kalua pig, & haupia. You simply cant miss out on these three dishes. Luau being the main one.

Luau is a mixture of different seafood dishes that will have your taste buds dancing around! Hawaii doesnt like food that's transported out of state, so their food definitely has better taste quality considering it is freshly picked. Then comes Kalua Pig which is pig prepared by wrapping a pig in banana leaves and then steaming it inside a ground broiler. The traditional Kalua pig is seasoned with salt. This local Hawaiian dish is best known for its rich smoky flavor. And last but not least, Haupia. Haupia is a gelatin-like desert, which is made using thickened coconut milk. Since the coconuts are as well freshly picked, you can expect your Haupia to taste like heaven. So dont forget to try that out. Haupia is something you definitely want to try! P.S. Dont forget to save me a piece.

To the right is Luau, Kalua Pig & Haupia.
