Best Caribbean Blog Feature 2014
Congratulations to Zöe Dawes, aka The Quirky Traveller, for winning the Caribbean Tourism Organisation's ‘Journalism Award for Best Blog Feature 2014’.
The Judges commented "Zoe’s really looked at something a bit different. Not many people think of rain-forests when you mention the Caribbean to them and there was just loads in it I wasn’t aware of and I think that is what really makes a great blog post.”

British Guild of Travel Writers'
Blogger of the Year
This year, the British Guild of Travel Writers' Annual Awards, held last month at The Savoy, included for the first time an award for the Blogger of the Year. Congratulations to Abigail King, Inside the Travel Lab, for being the first to receive what is sure to become a much sort after accolade.
I have admired Abi's writing for quite sometime. She has the gift to immediately engage the reader and keep their attention throughout, with a writing style that is always fresh and entertaining.
The judges said, “Quality of writing makes me purr with pleasure. Good use of her own photography embedded throughout. Nice photo galleries. Clean, simple and easy to navigate. Good use of social flares to encourage sharing but not intrusive.”
