Don\'t Miss - Things to do in Athens\r\n\r\nTake a walking tour of Athens\' street art with Manolis, from Dopios. Starting from £13pp for a 3 hour tour.\r\n\r\nSpend the day at the beautiful Yabanaki Beach, just a half-hour drive from the city centre with a range of watersports, restaurants and bars. It costs around 30€ for a taxi from Syntagma Square in the centre of Athens to the beach or less than 2€ by bus. Entrance to the beach is 5€pp, with reductions for children, over 65s and students. Sun beds and parasols can be hired. Parking is free. \r\n\r\nEnjoy a tsipouro tasting and a sight-seeing walking tour with Athens Insiders, where you will have the chance to enjoy a selection of mezze matched with each tsipouro, a traditional Greek spirit. Starting from 54€pp.\r\n\r\nAn absolute must for any first-time visitor is the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. The Parthenon is undergoing extensive restoration which detracts from the beauty of the site but it is still well worth a visit and the views of the city from this vantage point are mesmerising.\r\n\r\nEntrance to the museum is 5€pp. Alternatively you can buy a ticket for all the main archaeological areas of Athens for 12€pp. \r\n\r\nPandrossou street market is right in the historic centre of Athens directly beneath the Acropolis, selling a wide range of items including antiques and art, traditional Greek products, jewellery, music and food and drinks.\r\n\r\nVisit the newly opened Museum of Greek Gastronomy, which doesn\'t just show exhibits. They also offer cooking lessons and tastings, as well as having their own excellent restaurant in a picturesque courtyard.
