COVERSTORY #345 Bhool Bhulaiya, Lucknow From Aniket Chaudhary, Marine Engineer The Bhool Bhulaiya in Lucknow is a labyrinth with a network of more than 1,000 passages, 489 identical doorways and a number of staircases that go up or down. Now a major tourist attraction, the structure was originally constructed by Nawab Asaf ud-Daula to confuse enemy intruders. Most of the tourists hire a guide, but the secret to get through this labyrinth is to only take the stairs that go up without any diversions. The exit will eventually lead to an open terrace with a spectacular view of the entire city. November-December 2015 Travel Secrets  55
