TS INTERVIEW • A long-haul flight: I always wear my gym tights, an oversized tee, and a light flannel scarf with my sneakers for long haul flights • An English winter: Warm tights, an uberwarm coat or waterproof down jacket, light jumper, and dress. Vid, you enjoy your coffee. Name three of your favourite cafes around the world • Nude Espresso, London, United Kingdom • The Barn, Berlin, Germany • Pure Café, Christchurch, New Zealand (It’s hard to go wrong with speciality coffee in New Zealand—the coffee scene there is unbelievable!) Name for us one hidden alley, one sleepy tapas bar and one secluded beach from your travels • Both of us love the hidden alleys in the offbeat parts of Rome, especially the bohemian district of Trastevere. • The tapas bars in the villages of Andalucía in Southern Spain are dreamy—perfect for contemplating ochre sunsets and whitewashed villages on the horizon. • The islands of Fiji have some incredible palm-fringed beaches that seem to have walked out of postcards. There are countless secluded beaches in the archipelago but we especially love the beach at Monuriki Island, where Tom Hanks’ Castaway was shot. Savi, what’s one book you would like to read in a cottage-in-the-mountain, and why? A collection of Pablo Neruda’s poetry—his sublime verses are perfect for dreamers. Vid, one gadget worth the splurge, and why? A Go Pro camera is perfect for travellers. We have a Go Pro Hero 4 and frequently use it underwater, during adventure sports, and even tack it outside our car during road trips. One great tip on creating the perfect travel blog • Design a blog that reflects your individuality. It’s hard to pose as someone you’re not beyond the first couple of months.
