Krasnaya Strela-The Red Arrow is the most popular
train, which in Soviet times carried the Communist
Party elite between Moscow and Leningrad (the
former name of St. Petersburg). The Red Arrow train
started its first regular service in July, 9 of 1931. This
branded train is considered a benchmark of Russian
railways. The train even has its own theme song that
plays as it departs from the station.
The train includes a restaurant car, compartment
cars (second class), sleeping cars (first class) and 2
VIP carriages (the carriage has 4 2-berth
compartments which are fully redeemed)
