There’s nothing quite like
an early morning stroll in
Shinjuku, Tokyo to make
you realise just how hal-
lucinatory the capital city
of Japan is. Particularly
when you have spent the
majority of your adult life
confined to the west. But
while my travelling com-
panion slumbered I took
an early morning walk
armed with nothing but
my camera and a pock-
et of what I can only as-
sume was a small amount
of change. I soon found
myself obsessively snap-
ping away at everything I
found. From well dressed
business men functioning
on little more than a few
hours sleep, to tiny school
children with yellow hats
innocently making their
way to school for a day
of learning. As I was de-
lightfully snapping away I
came across someone cas-
ually doing the exact same
thing. The photo opportu-
nity seemed too good to
miss.
