at the beginning of a new academic year. Traditionally the
New Year is a time to welcome
change and this new academic
Year will be no different. We will
not only welcome the launch of
the new Research Institute of
Applied Clinical Sciences (IACS),
but also the launch of the new
ISTM research theme structure and a stronger emphasis
on research within the fabric of the schools sitting within
Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
which focusses on the generation and delivery of medicines at the nanoscale, was highlighted recently at the
2nd Annual Keele Nanopharmaceutics Symposium. This
symposium, held at the Sustainability Hub, Keele University, boasted a strong national attendance and profile.
On a personal note it was a delight to see the organisers,
Claire Hoskins and Tony Curtis, rewarded for the initiative
they’ve shown in organising and showcasing their research and promoting their field as a whole with a good
turnout and positive engagement.
