Girl Talk | A LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Hugs and kisses to each and evey one of you.

This journey has been both overwhelming wonderful and and physically challenging. But to everyone who has made this moment possible, I thank you.

This issue is the first of many. My goal is to inspire the communiy and tap a resource that has the potential to change the world.

When I first shared my vision, I was met with so many ney sayers who tried to talk me out of pursueing this Magazine and Blog any further. I was told that "we" don't support our own and that I would be hurt and disappointed. That "we" don't read, so why would I even start a magazine? And that "we" have a crab in the barrel mentallity, so no matter what I tried to accomplish, no one would support my vision. But to all of you who have a dream in you belly, nurture it, carry it to term and birth your vision into existence. No one should ever be able to tell you that you can't. Realize that you are the only one holding you back. Every success story started with an "I can". So write your own story and live your personal dream.

One thing I learned early in life is to never be afraid of the word, no. It is never the beginning of an end, but the end of the posibilty of failure. You have now heard the worst, now produce the best. Know that your time is valuable. Spend your free time shadowing someone who is already doing what you desire instead of worrying about what others will think.

I love each and every one of you, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. This platform is not for me to stand on a soap box and give me opinion about things that no one cares about but me. But, this platform is for anyone who has a dream, an idea, a product, an event, or a project. We will no longer be silenced. You now have a voice, and the world is listening.
