1925 Trangia is founded in Trångsviken by John E. Jonsson and starts manufacturing cooking ware for households.
1926 The first Trangia Mess tin is shown in the catalogue, a round shape that came in three sizes. The rectangular shape of today was introduced in 1950.

1948 Focus shifts from kitchen utensils to outdoor products when John’ s sons, Erik and Olle, takes over the business.
1950 The first prototype of the Trangia stove with a spirit burner was introduced, No. 25. Seven years later, the smaller 1 – 2-person stove, No. 27, was launched.
1950 Export takes off to Norway, Finland, USA and England, soon followed by Asia. Today, 80 % of products produced are exported all over the world.

1978 A new, larger factory is built in Trångsviken to improve production capacity, were Trangia still is located today.
2020 Trangia opens a factory store and museum in the original factory – where it all started back in 1925.
2024 Trangia launches its first Sweden made gas burner – Gas Burner Storm.
