We also have a program for women that enables them to work even if they are staying at home with the children.

We have some really great stories about mums who have been able to get back into the labour force after having children, in a way that works around their schedule, their children and their lifestyle. This is the current focus of our projects.

Take Us Through A Typical Day?

The beauty of working for a new company is there no typical day for us. I typically wake up, check my emails and get my coffee like everyone else and will then take a look at all the new jobs thats have been mailed in overnight. It is my responsibility to see how we can publicise and broadcast them to certain groups.

We have a notification system that notifies our community of 40,000 and we also have a strong prescence on social media.

Part of my job is to oversee the social media for the site and to work with the media, our partners, the IT department and the technical staff to share the story of Nabbesh. A typical day involves lots of emails, lots of calls, lots of meetings and the best part of my day I guess is hearing the success stories of our freelancers.

We are very fortunate to be able to hear some amazing stories. Just a couple of weeks ago, a young woman in Gaza was hired and paid for a translation job and the employer wanted to pay her double the normal rate. The employer was very satisfied with her translation services and this woman received a five star rating. Being able to hear stories like that from somebody who would never have those opportunities before Nabbesh was founded really makes my day worthwhile.

Even though I’m in the role of CEO, I thoroughly enjoy travelling and seeing new markets and meeting new businesses in new industries. My nickname is ‘What’s Next?’, as I’m always looking to find 'what’s next' in this industry. That may still be work, but I consider it 'playtime’.

What Advice Would You Give Our Readers For Training Success In The Middle East?

Great question. I think first of all train and develop people in a subject you are passionate about, that way it never feels like work.

The second thing, is to work extraordinarily hard as it’s an unforgiving industry, everyday is a new day and you need to be on your game, that is why passion helps.

We are spending a lot of time right now on return on investment and proving business impact. If you can find a subject that you are really passionate about and makes a difference in organizations, then you can do that day in day out .

Start proving those cases to clients and that will make you successful.

For us, our success and results got us ranked No.16 in the Dubai SME 100 list.
