TRAINING A SUCCESSFUL
Tell us about your background
I have been working in IT Management and IT Outsourcing for more than 15 years. In that time I’ve been helping technology companies and departments (private and public sector), to organise themselves better internally and advising them on how to work better with both their clients and outsourcing partners using methodologies such as ITIL and Lean – Six Sigma.
I joined Xoomworks in January 2012, impressed with their “One Team Approach” focused on cultural alignment and communication and the Xoomworks core values Trust – Pride – Legacy – Caring – Freedom.
I believe that these values highlight the key issues I had encountered in most of the outsourcing relationships I had previously been involved in.
What is your specialist skill?
I am a certified ITIL Expert, ISO27001 auditor and eSCM certified specialist, but my specialist skills are not solely centred on processes. I am a strong believer, in the Three Ps of Processes, Products and People in IT Management. To get the best out of my team, it is important to ensure that specific focus is put on the People element of this methodology.
What is the best strategy you have implemented?
The resourcing model we put in place for Xoomworks Technology Outsourcing is simple but highly effective. It has demonstrated that it fully supports our purpose, which is to provide the best experts to our clients and the best clients to our experts in a collaborative, borderless and innovative way.
Our close collaboration with universities ensures that we identify the most talented software engineers.
When trainees join our academy program, the young talented individuals are provided the theoretical and practical training they need to bridge the gap between what they have learned in university and what they need to be successful in their career as a Software Developer, Quality Assurance Engineer or Technical Support Specialist.
