145) Wellness and You The objective of this session is to provide workers with useful information about wellness. By the end of this session, they should be able to define wellness and recognize its benefits; identify the six basic requirements of a healthy life; take proper precautions to prevent illness; and live a healthier life. 146) Working in Cold Conditions Cold conditions present hazards that may seriously impact worker health and safety. In this training program, employees will review the hazards posed by cold conditions. By the end of the session, they will be able to understand how the body reacts to cold, recognize common illnesses and injuries related to cold and respond properly to them, know the factors that may heighten the risks when working in the cold, and take preventive actions to protect themselves. 147) Working in Hot Conditions The objectives of this session are to prepare your workers to work safely in hot conditions and reduce the risk of heat-related illness. By the end of the session, they should be able to understand how hot conditions affect the body, recognize symptoms of heat illness, and take precautions to reduce the risk of heat illness. 148) Working Safely Outdoors The objective of this session is to provide your workers with the information they need to work safely outdoors. By the end of the session, they should be able to identify outdoor hazards, take proper precautions to prevent injury or illness, and apply effective first aid in the event of an injury or exposure. 149) Working Safely with Benzene The objective of this video is to help your employees work safely with benzene. By the end of the session, employees should be able to identify benzene hazards; understand exposure limits; use engineering controls, safe work practices, and personal protective equipment to prevent exposures; and know what to do in an emergency involving benzene. 150) Working Safely with Corrosives The objective of this video is to inform your employees about the hazards of corrosive materials and the precautions they need to take to prevent accidents and injuries. By the end of this session, employees should be able to identify corrosive hazards; find hazard and protection information; select appropriate personal protective equipment; store, handle, and dispense corrosives safely; respond effectively to emergencies involving corrosives; and dispose of corrosive wastes properly.
