Brent Celek by Adrianne Mickens As a natural leader, Brent has always worked in his community and found ways to give back, making a positive impact. T he oldest of five children, Brent Celek was born and raised just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. He grew up in an Entrepreneurial family environment; his grandfather owns construction companies, his uncle owns motorcycle shops and his mother and father own hair salons. Watching his parents and extended family own and operate all types of businesses inspired Brent from a very young age to work hard, be a self starter and to better understand that all change starts from within. Brent has a strong sense of family values and stayed close to home graduating from University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts in Business, Marketing and Management. As a young boy, Brent had two dreams, to play in the NFL and to own his own business. Brent 24 TrafficMagazine/ Spring, 2014 was drafted as a Philadelphia Eagle in the 5th round in 2007. As a Tight End for the Eagles, Brent has set multiple franchise and NFL records and is well regarded for his strong work ethic and commitment to being the best at everything he does. He founded Take Flight Foundation in 2010, which supports children’s hospitals and research in Philadelphia. He also owns Prime Stache a restaurant located in Old City, Philadelphia that opened in 2013. In 2013, he partnered with longtime friend Jillian DiIorio, the former SVP of Sales for Retail Marketing, TOMS, to start REVISIT, a new business focused on giv- ing back to sustain a brighter future for our National Parks and inspire many to rediscover America. REVISIT is set to launch in February 2014 and is founded on caring capitalism with the business model of Quarterback; giving 25% of the company’s profits directly to fund the needs of our National Parks. Brent currently lives in Philadelphia, loves to run in the park with his dog Bruiser and happens to make some of the best ice cream in town. He is committed to making an impact and values the true meaning of team, knowing that no one can achieve success without the support of others.
