Sicilian carts, the Pupi theater, a whirlwind of energies that relives in these wonderfully
redundant creations, excessive and loaded, broken with prints geometric, new age cuts and 70s
combinations
Rafia among the materials, prints borrowed from the world of the Opera dei Pupi and from the
colorful paintings that decorate the traditional Sicilian carts, but also from the painted ceramics of
Caltagirone. These are the recurring themes of the Milan fashion show.
The models seem to be transformed into living souvenirs, even the earrings have the shape of the
famous Sicilian miniature puppets. A little 'kitsch, of course, especially because the total look from
the catwalk always has a deliberately strong impact. Taken to himself, however, many pieces are
extremely interesting and we are particularly struck by the magnificent crinolines that can be seen,
such as dresses, made according to the traditional technique of braided baskets.
