Additionally , it ’ s critical for traders to understand the detail and nuance of various exchanges and how specific variances affect transactions and the execution of orders .
Has the hybrid working model impacted team collaboration ? How has Russell Investments adapted to maintain collaboration in a hybrid working environment ? The hybrid work model impacted the way we collaborate within the immediate trading team , across asset classes in the investment division and with our clients . We have adopted deliberate and new ways of ongoing communication and continuity . Fortunately , we had been working toward the eventuality of a hybrid work environment for over a decade , so the connectivity , infrastructure , hardware and trading technology were all in place prior to 2020 . We deliberately deployed new communication technology to the desks in our office as well as to our team ’ s trading desks at their respective homes , and much of the communication fabric that connects trading desks needed to be deliberately created . We did this through more intentional interactions , better communications technology , and more training and mindshare across teams and ultimately with our clients . Importantly , we did retain an in-office trading presence throughout the past two years , with about half of our trading team in the office and the other half dealing remotely .
Which panel at TradeTech 2022 are you most looking forward to ? I ’ m most interested in the data and technology framework panel as that ’ s really the key to future success given the data explosion and proliferation across the industry .
