What was Your First Role as an Actress?
The first role which I played as the main lead actress was a bubbly girl in‘ Khushiyaan’ which was aired on DD National. After that, I did many shows like Pyaar Ke Do Naam: Ek Raadha, Ek Shyaam, Adhuri Kahani Hamari, Agnipareeksha Jeevan ki-Ganga, Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna, Neem Neem Shahad Shahad, Devo Ke Dev- Mahadev, etc.
From Playing an Obedient Daughter in Law in‘ Teen Bahuraniyaan’ to a Deadly Vamp in‘ Qubool Hai’. How did You Accept Such a Dramatic Turn?
When Gul Khan Mam gives me the opportunity of playing a negative role in‘ Qubool Hai’, I took it up gladly. Because I think playing a positive character means you will be crying forever on the screen and playing a negative role with conviction requires a lot of guts and capability to act.
What have been Your Achievements so Far?
My first achievement was when I was honored with Zee Rishtey Award in the category of Favourite Bahu for the show Teen Bahuraniyaan. I got recognition from this show and my second and biggest achievement was when I was again honored for Zee Rishtey Award and this time in the category of Favorite Khalnayak for the show Qubool Hai.
How was Your Comeback After Delivering Your First Baby?
I am happy to get back to work after a sabbatical. After gaining popularity in the negative role I am once again playing a grey shaded character, but this time with a dash of comedy in‘ Ishqbaaz’ on Star Plus in a role of Kamini Khurana Singh Randhawa.
How You Manage Both Your Personal as well as Professional Life?
Truly, I consider myself lucky as I can manage my personal and professional commitments. Before starting shooting‘ Ishqbaaz’ I was nervous, but my husband Yash and in-law supported me well. They take care of Kabir and sometimes I bring him on the sets.
